STYLE
Define the direction of your piece.
Every commission begins with listening. In your private consultation — at our Manhattan studio or by video — we explore what this piece means to you: the occasion, the inspiration, the way you want to feel when you wear it. We review reference pieces, sketches, and archive images. By the end, we have a clear direction: the style, the silhouette, the spirit.

STONE
The heart of every piece.
Once direction is set, we begin sourcing. Whether you have a stone in mind or are open to discovery, we present curated options with full provenance — origin, certification (GIA, IGI, GRS, or SSEF where applicable), and price. You may view stones in person at our studio, or via high-resolution video and photographs. We never proceed until you have chosen a stone that moves you.

SKETCH
From idea to image.
Our designer translates your vision into hand-rendered sketches and watercolor illustrations. You see your piece take shape — the curve of the band, the geometry of the setting, the personality of the design. We present 2 to 3 directions for you to choose between, and revise the chosen sketch until every line feels right — with no limit on the number of revisions.

CAD
Seen from every angle, before it is made.
The chosen sketch is built in three-dimensional CAD software, producing photorealistic renderings from every angle. You see exactly what your piece will look like — how the stone sits, how the metal flows, how light moves across the surface. Minor adjustments are made here before a single gram of gold is cast. Nothing proceeds without your final approval.

CRAFT & DELIVER
The slow art of making — and the moment of arrival.
Your piece is handcrafted by master jewelers — in our Manhattan atelier for VKNOW commissions, or in Fei Liu's London workshop for House Designer pieces. From wax model to metal casting, from stone setting to final polish, every stage is documented and shared with you. When complete, your piece arrives in VKNOW signature packaging with its certificate of authenticity, provenance documents, and a handwritten note from the maker.
